EGGS Rowing Club members are expected to behave in a manner that upholds our Club values and complies with EGGS School Policies. Rowers are expected to adhere to the EGGS Student Code and Rowing Club Squad Code of Conduct and as signed by each rower at the beginning of each season.
The Club and School are both committed to ensure that:
all members of the School community are engaged in respectful learning relationships; and
the individual and collective mana of all members of the School community and rowing club is upheld at all times;
all members understand that rowing is a sport that requires discipline however a restorative justice approach will be taken where possible to ensure accountability for the actions are balanced with the opportunity to learn and grow from mistakes made.
CODE OF CONDUCT
There are two Code of Conduct documents:
(a) one is specific to rowers, the Squad Code of Conduct (note this code also links to the EGGS Student Code); and
(b) the Epsom Girls Grammar School Community Code which applies to all staff, volunteers, parents and also students.
We ask that families review both Code of Conduct documents together to ensure everyone has a clear understanding of both documents.
All rowers must download, sign and return the Squad Code of Conduct to epsom.rowing.club@gmail.com prior to day camp (October) at the start of the each season.
