Oregon State University assistant Head Coach and Coordinator of Recruitment for rowing, Vita Scaglione, is visiting New Zealand in late August. Vita has been at Oregon State for 9 years and in that time  has recruited 8 women rowers from New Zealand - so has a real affinity and knowledge about New Zealand and Kiwis.  Oregon State is a Division 1 university and rows in the Pac 12 competition.  Vita has coached in the US University system for over 14 years and understands the difficulties that can face rowers and parents when considering applying for scholarships and during their time at University.

Vita is in New Zealand for 10 days and has made time to talk to rowers and parents from EGGS who wish to gain a better understanding / knowledge of the US college system and pathways open to girls. This is a rare opportunity to hear from a coach in the US College system.

Vita will be at the ARC to attend training on August 31st.  After training at around 10am she will be doing a short presentation and will be available to meet both rowers and parents for questions.
